Throughout a career spanning more than 30 years, Joseph LaBarbera has occupied the intersection of finance, accounting, and operations. His journey has been defined by a commitment to streamlining complex systems and ensuring that businesses don't just "keep the books"—they use their financial data to drive smarter decisions.
After years of serving at the senior level for large-scale organizations, Joseph identified a critical gap in the Southwest Florida market. Small-to-mid-sized businesses, particularly Non and Not-for-Profit groups and Hospitality businesses, were struggling with operational tasks that required a high level of expertise—yet they were often priced out by the overhead of massive "Big Four" style consulting firms.
JWL Advisory was founded to bridge that gap. Joseph’s mission is to provide Southwest Florida with the same caliber of forecasting, auditing, and operational review found at the highest corporate levels, delivered with the personalized attention of a local neighbor.

JWL Advisory was founded by Joseph LaBarbera, a finance and accounting professional with over 30 years of experience across multiple industries, including healthcare, real estate, consumer goods, non and not-for-profit, and property management.
His career spans roles from financial analyst to vice president of finance and operations, where he led key initiatives that improved performance and efficiency across organizations of all sizes. Joseph has also worked with both small businesses and Fortune 100 companies such as Kraft Foods and KPMG LLP.
He holds a BBA in Finance with a minor in Economics and an MBA in Marketing, bringing a strong blend of financial expertise and strategic insight to every engagement.
